Grezza ont radio!

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

‘Scuse the new post rampage, but my friend Graham Jordan is on the radio via the internet tonight at 9pm. I’ve never heard his show before but in real-life he’s the most hilariously brilliant a live person you could hope to meet.

Visit www.morleyradio.org or listen via iTunes.

If you miss today’s show, it should be happening every Saturday for the foreseeable as far as I am aware…

Joe’s Swell Radiohead Remix

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

My friend Joe gone done a wicked remix of Radiohead’s track ‘Nude’ for their current remix competition. Check it out and give him some votes!

N.B. It’s not ‘MY NUDE REMIX’. It’s Joe’s.

Please excuse my language but what the fuck has happened to The Dillinger Escape Plan?

Calculating Infinity is one of the best metal albums ever made. It’s genius. So what the crap is up with this My Chemical BigPants*-esque dirge? It makes me sad. They’ve even got a fucking skateboarder in the video.

*Childish, yeah, but c’mon. Fair.

This song is mostly in my head at the moment.

Shame about the horrible YouTube compression, but I quite like video too. I’m liking the latest Silverchair album a lot. I didn’t even know they had one ’til recently. Diorama was (is) incredible, and Young Modern is following the same kinda path.

Jose Gonzalez is awesome.

Jose Gonzalez

Hey! The latest Jose Gonzalez album is even better than his first one. This is important and a GOOD THING.

Oh, hi, Ed Banger Records? Yeah, I’m totally ready for SebastiAn’s album, when you get a chance, please. Thanks. The Justice record isn’t quite filling the hole.

Christmas minus X Factor. It’s in our hands.

lucky soul for christmas no 1Thousands of Last.fm users voted for the Lucky Soul song ‘Lips Are Unhappy’ to be the track that battles the winner of the X Factor this December.

It’s real, independent music chosen by Last.fm’s passionate community vs. mass-marketed karaoke nonsense released simply to line Simon Cowell’s pockets (in contrast, all of the profits from the Lucky Soul song will go to War Child).

Strike a blow against sanitized, predictable reality show muzak. Buy ‘Lips Are Unhappy’ for a mere 40p and you can also download an exclusive, unreleased Lucky Soul track (and know that you’re bringing some Christmas cheer to War Child). If you all buy a copy it really WILL happen, and you’ll be helping to break the stranglehold the X-Factor has on our Xmas charts.”

In case you’re reading this on Facebook and it seems like I have nothing to say, you’ll need to visit my actual blog to view the embeded videos, or see them on Last.fm.

Deerhoof are awesome.

Deerhoof

Hey, Deerhoof are giving away a free download-only album on their Kill Rock Stars site! It might not stay for long, so make haste! If you haven’t heard Deerhoof before, its probably the best way to find out you like them, and then you can go buy the rest of their stuff.

New domain!

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

I’ve bought a new domain, based on an idea I have for a future musical project that I’d like to call ‘A Duck Selling Quack‘. So, from this point on, that is my blog address, but with no spaces and with ‘.com’ on the end. You can also use ‘fraserj.co.uk’ if you prefer, but it’ll only bring you here…

Anyway, my music won’t sound like ducks. I just like the name. It’s kinda appropriate of a blog too… Maybe I’ll improve the design at some point soon too! :)
